I can't believe I'm already halfway through my exchangesemester in Japan. Time really flies when you have a busy classschedule! Last weekend, after wrapping up midterms, I finallyheaded out of Osaka. My destination? Kyoto.
Day 1: Temples and Shrines: I started my day at the FushimiInari Shrine, famous for its thousands of tori gates. It was asteep climb, but the view was absolutely worth it. Later, I visitedthe Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, which was stunning, with itsgold-leaf-covered exterior reflecting on the tranquil pond.
Day 2: Exploring Gion Kobu, one of Kyoto's historic districts, was fascinating. I walked through the narrow streets lined withtraditional wooden teahouses. The atmosphere was magical, and it seemed as if I was stepping back in time.
I'll share more about Kyoto. Stay tuned for updates!
